How to make money with java games?

I wanted to start making games with either flash or java. However this is entirely about java. I know with flash games you get someone to pay your game on thier website. But is there a way to make money with java games other than pay to play???? Oh and for the love of god don’t be a idiot and say: well it takes a while to learn java!!! Who cares? That’s not what I’m askIng!!!

There are several ways to monetize web games, whether they are written in Flash or Java (or Silverlight, or Shockwave etc.)

Most commonly the web page with the game also has adverts and you get paid per impression or per click.

Then there are in game adverts from networks like Mochiads and Google where you get paid again for impressions or clicks, but the advert is in the game rather than elsewhere on the page.

You can also get sponsorship deals where a portal or games company will pay for your game, or purchase the rights to the game.

Yes, it does take a long time to learn a new programming language but if you’re interested in it then it’s worth the effort. I’ve been a brower game developer for the past 7 years, and it was definitely worth the effort so good luck to you!
