How I can use my Windows Media Center PC and TV2 to see DISH Network?
I have a DISH Network DVR 625 I want to connect to the Windows Media Center. I have a TV in the living room connected to the TV channel 3.4 output port on the receiver and this works fine. To watch TV on my PC in another place, I found with a coaxial cable from the 21-69 channel port on the back of the 625 receiver to television in the port of my PC tuner card, using an attenuator between the cable and TV-in port on the TV as shown in the receiver's user guide. I then ran both automatic and manual scans in Windows Media Center, but not been able to obtain TV signals. What am I doing wrong? Please help!
I did too. Windows Media Center tuner not recognized TV the TV channels that come in 2 in (mine is 73). Only channels 2-4 channels. You can "capture" video with MovieMaker and tuning on channel 73, or you could do what I did was run the TV 1 PC with a coaxial cable that goes from "TV with an exit." I have my TV connected to a TV with cable RCA, so I'm not using the TV output jack to the TV. Originally it was going to split my cable TV Two, which goes to the next TV rights to the PC, but found with the problem of the channel could not see "live" TV and get the program guides, etc.
